Bow thruster, shore power, autopilot, A.I.S., radar, etc. S-shaped with very good properties. One of a series of 30 polyester built Breeons 36.
The Breeon 36 is a French Maas design from the mid-fifties of the previous century. Breeon stands for wide (Bree) and shallow (On). For that time it was a relatively wide sailing yacht with a relatively shallow draft of 1.50 m. Built in steel with wooden decks and superstructure it turned out to be a good racing ship. In the late sixties there was interest from the United States, but only for a GRP version.
The total order included 30 GRP Breeons 36. During the construction of these Breeons 36 the shipyard went bankrupt and a number of caso's remained in the Netherlands and were completed elsewhere. This applies to this Breeon 36 which was completed by De Vries Lentsch in Amsterdam.
This Breon 36 is in the possession of the second owner.
In 2002 the entire deck, cockpit and superstructure were completely renewed by Jachtbetimmering Dörr B.V. in Lemmer.
