'Butaba' was built in 1944 as a supply vessel for the Royal Navy, but was never used. In 1947 she was transformed into a yacht and has been lived in ever since. When 'Butaba' was transformed into a ketch is unknown.
The present interior is about 30 years old and in a very good condition.
In April 2019 the underwater ship was maintained and painted.
'Butaba' is a very well maintained and 'dry' sailing cutter. She is equipped for a long stay or living on board.
